caught up with RF tat dae after losing contact for yrs... thu our conversation she asked if i still remembered her good fren... yup i definitely still do... she's my "you yuan ren"
started online chatting since sec3... still remember it was the in-thing then... whole class talking about it... so i decided to give it a try... alamak chat... yup tats the one where the whole class started on... then came IRC where every1 was hooked by it... even had a class channel...
guess those online chatting daes were the purest and the most innocent times... mayb we were young, less mature and less complicated... there wasn't any case of pple disguisin themselves, trying to fake pple online... every1 i chatted with was the real deal... at least i hoped...
so tokking to a bunch of guys in the class channel sux... so i branched out and started chatting and meetin other pple in various channel... tats where i got to know her...
she was the siao siao kind... now still the same haha... only with a tinge of maturity... forced by work i tink... chatted with her over a year and i still remembered we tokked abt goin to the same jc and doing well for olevels...
i nv got to meet her in person even after the o's... but somehow we both managed to get into the same jc for the first 3 mths...
the way we met was wat i called "you yuan"... it was part of the orientation programme where the guys and gals had to pair up to do mass dance... guys 1 row, gals 1 row... out of the hundreds of pple in the hall... i got paired up with her...
both of us we surprised after we self-intro... nv know tat i'll meet some1 i met in the virtual world... and in tis manner... nv know a real frenship could occur thu the net...
3mths passed and somehow both of us left tat sch but still kept in contact thu icq... we managed to keep in contact even while in army and while she went ntu... i still managed to catch her even when i entered ntu... but shes final yr then... finally got to be the same sch for good...
she was the person who could really tok... still remembered we tokked abt getting jing gui xu... the sports car in sch... crappy games... her project topics... fightin sars and even to drinks n food... numerous things... guess tats where i found her craze for jap stuff... she even went tourin to jap a few times...
the number of times we chatted online decreased after she grad n went to work... guess auditor are like dat... work til nv see the sun... the last time she icq me was to ask if i was using tis particular program... i wasnt even there to reply... still remembered i was havin pizza fiesta with hall kakis... by the time i replied she's offline le...
mayb when life gets more complicated n more occuppied with serious stuff... we dun really chat with ppl online these daes... as compared to daes when we were young... or maybe i've become tao le...
after tat dae talkin with rf... i decided to send her an offline msg on icq... not really hopeful of a reply... could have been a yr since i saw her online...
the "uh-oh" came swift... yup it was her alrite... she was in invisible mode all the while... told me after workin for a year... she became weary of pple online (hmmm me inclusive?) ... at least i know she's still fine... still as crappy... though much complains on work...
i find it great n glad tat over the many yrs... we could still keep in contact... even though not meetin much... even if handphone no. could have changed but somehow keepin tat icq no... we could alwaes contact each other...
