So Happy!

so happy todae after 2 daes of competition... though i din win any medal... i was still very happy... i felt myself winning!

cos ntu went into the competition with a "broom"... sweeping almost all of the possible medals! WOHO!

technically... tis the first time i took the entire ntu archery team for competition... being the team captain... i was rather worried of the first yr archers... it was their first competition and from their trainin scores for the past few wks... i was kinda scared of bringin them for this comp... wondering if they would tarnish the "invincible" name ntu archery had earned for ourselves for so many yrs...

other clubs all over singapore have grew stronger over the yrs and have been waiting for the chance to defeat us... even the seniors were rather worried... seeing first-yrs being late for trainings here n there... so the seniors gave them a good talk on our club history n the power tat we alwaes show durin competitions... hopeful of boostin their morale n for them to show more discipline, effort for trainin.

todae was the 2nd dae of the competition... when i reached the competition ground early in the mornin the first thing huiqing did when she saw me was...

"hey jia lin... ntu standard class... (she showed me the "chopping" n "slicing" hand movements... errr at least tats wat i thought it was...)"

wah... i thought my ntu first yr archers kena trashed... (1st year archers were shootin in the Standard Class)

"wah 'quan jun fu mo'?" i replied....

"No lah... we sha'ed (killed) the rest... ntu sweep all the top 3 postitions!"

then i took the results from her... from yesterdae's individual rankin round... the men's sweeped the top 3 placing... ladies' sweeped 1st n 2nd place...

our senior archers gave secure wins as usual... nv givin me any worries...

felt really happy n proud...

then came todae's shoot... individual n team knockout rounds for both men n ladies...

i watched n encouraged the team on... from the top 16 individual... ntu kill all the way...

i was really impressed by the first yr ladies team... confident n poised... all the arrows zoomed into gold... release were fast n clean... my worries from trainin were lifted...

with every arrow into the gold the team shouted "Hao!... Good!"... with our team awesome support... all oppenents shook in fear of us

we comfortably clenched the gold n silver for standard class ladies

at the prize giving ceremony... the number of times ntu went up to receive awards overtook all the clubs... our cheers were the loudest...

it was our show...

wat my seniors said were alwaes right...

when u go up to receive the medal... nobody knows who u are... nobody remembers your name... they will only and alwaes remember the team jeresy u are wearing... the name of the club you are representing...

we proved tat ntu is still the dominanting archery club in singapore

archery is a very individual sport... though not all ntu archers took home a medal... but we won... we won as a team...
